November 2 '07 - ArtRage 2.5 Starter Edition Update Released: We have just released the 2.5.18 update for the ArtRage 2.5 Starter Edition. October 30 '07 - ArtRage crashes on Mac OSX Leopard: ArtRage 2.5.18 has been released, containing a fix for this crash bug. Leopard users should download a new installer from here .

Feb 14 '07 ArtRage Wacom Edition for Windows Vista Update: ArtRage Wacom Edition 2.2.10 has just been released, fixing a bug that prevented it opening on Windows Vista. All users of ArtRage 2 Wacom Edition (downloaded using vouchers or received with the Wacom Volito 2 in Europe) can now update by running the ArtRage Updater. See this forum thread for more details.

Nov 8th '06 ArtRage 2.2 Free Released: We are pleased to announce the release of the Free Edition of ArtRage 2.2 in French, English, and German for Windows and OSX (PPC and Intel Universal Binary). The Free version update adds many of the tweaks and fixes found in the Full Edition of ArtRage, and we have opened up the Felt Pen tool properties so that users can play with a wider variety of pen effects. Aug 23rd '06 ArtRage Macintosh Universal Binary in testing: We're currently beta testing a Macintosh Universal Binary version of ArtRage 2, which will be available as part of the next update, ArtRage 2.2. The 2.2 update is another free update for all registered users of ArtRage 2 full version. There will also be a 2.2 free version made available for PC and Mac systems.

Jul 11th '06 ArtRage Thumbnail Viewer Plugin released: We're pleased to announce the release of the free ArtRage Thumbnail Viewer shell extension that allows Windows XP and 2k to display previews of your ArtRage ptg files in thumbnail view folders. May 8th '06 ArtRage 2.11 Free Released: ArtRage 2.11 Free has been released in both English and French. You can download this version for Windows or OS X from the download page.

May 2nd '06 ArtRage 2.1 Released: ArtRage 2.1 has been released, including a French version. This update fixes bugs and adds some new functionality for users of ArtRage 2. The update is available for free for users of the full version of ArtRage. An updated 2.1 version of ArtRage Free Edition will be available later this week. Get the patch on the download page.

15 July '05 We've updated ArtRage Mac to fix problems some people were having running it from various locations on their system. This also means that we have reverted to a standard DMG package rather than an installer, which is now available for download.

3 Jun '05 ArtRage Mac installer update: We've had a couple of reports of installation problems with the original ArtRage Mac installer, so we have uploaded a new installer that allows you to select the install location which should fix the problem.

2 Sept '04 We're currently in the process of taking submissions for an ArtRage gallery page. If you have an image you've created with ArtRage and would like to submit it for consideration to be displayed on the site, check here for details.

5 Aug '04 We've uploaded a new ArtRage 1.1 installer that fixes a problem some Norton Antivirus users were having, receiving a warning about malicious script in the uninstall. The script generating this false positive was simply to remove the ArtRage preferences file on uninstall, and we have changed how the installer works to fix this. If you have already downloaded 1.1, you can download the new installer and install over the top. For more details on fixing the uninstall warning if you are encountering it, please check out the FAQ.

4 Aug '04 ArtRage 1.1 released, just as we hit 100,000 downloads! Head over to the ArtRage page and download your free copy. New features in 1.1 include larger canvases, zoom and pan, a colour sampler and importing of images.

01 Mar '04 ArtRage 1.0 has been released! Our free painting package for Windows machines is available for download now from here. In other news Primatte 2.0 from Digital Anarchy has been released, with interface and features from Ambient.

19 Feb '04 ArtRage has reached Release Candidate stage and we're working on hosting the files. Primatte 2.0 has been released with brand new UI and Photoshop support by Ambient. We'll be updating soon with a load of new ArtRage images and info as we move in to release, and some details on Primatte.

19 Dec '03 After a short delay, ArtRage has moved in to the Beta phase and we're expecting a release shortly after the Christmas / New Year break. Other projects are nearing completion too, read more here.

20 August '02 Today we have another tutorial which illustrates how you can use KPT5 Shapeshifter to create a range of interesting and varied materials, such as metallic surfaces, tinted glass and plastic. We've also included a preset file to help you give it a go yourself!

24 July '02 A number of people have asked for help with KPT presets. We've just added a new tutorial that shows how to use the preset manager in KPT 5, 6 and KPT effects, including how to import and export your favorite presets.

20 July '02 The penguins return! Today we've got a new tutorial for KPT effects Scatter, "Lemguins". This tutorial shows how you can use a black and white mask to put particles in specific areas of your image. We've included the source image as well as the preset for step 1 so you can try it yourself!
