ArtRage for iPad is available from iTunes for iPad artists looking for a more portable version of our powerful, realistic desktop painting program. ArtRage for iPad includes the full range of ArtRage 5’s natural media painting tools, and works as both a standalone app or for starting works to finish in more detail in the desktop edition. It also offers full support for the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro.

ArtRage’s painting tools are unique! With thick paint textures, realistic wet media blending, real world attributes and an incredibly easy to use interface, ArtRage’s oils, watercolors and other tools will let you forget you’re painting digitally!

ArtRage for iPad’s painting tools include the Oil Brush, Watercolor Brush, Paint Tube, Paint Roller, Palette Knife, Inking Pen, Felt Pen, Gloop Pen, Glitter Tube, Color Sampler, Fill Tool, Pencil, Airbrush and Pastel (Wax/Chalk). Each tool has its own customisable settings such as thinners, softness and paint loading, to create a range of realistic effects.

Take your iPad out in the field, on the train, into an art gallery, or just over onto the couch and sketch, daub and ink away. When you’re finished, you can upload your art directly to a range of supported iOS apps, email it, upload it to deviantART or DropBox, or continue it from the painting file or saved script recording in ArtRage Lite or ArtRage 5. You can even play back scripts at larger resolutions in ArtRage 5, allowing you to scale your painting up without losing quality.

ArtRage iPad Interface

Easy To Use Interface

ArtRage presents the important tools in a simple, clean interface that gets out of the way while you paint. This means you don’t get distracted by complex digital controls and can stay in the creative zone while you work.

References & Tracing

Sometimes it can be handy to have other images open while you work. If you want a visual guide you can pin Reference Images to your canvas, or load a Tracing Image overlay that can apply colors for you automatically.

ArtRage iPad Gallery

All your paintings are stored in the ArtRage Gallery module. You can share them online from the Gallery, and every painting is automatically available in iTunes to drag to your desktop computer when you sync your iPad.

iPad Shortcuts

As well as allowing two finger tap and drag on the canvas, ArtRage uses three finger gestures for Undo, Redo, quick Brush Sizing, and hiding the interface. Other gestures give easy access to functions like color sampling and tool selection.
